Gabrielle is a writer and producer. They specialize in stories rooted in food, human-environment relationships, and bodily autonomy. She enjoys collaborating with green spaces to build systems and structures that serve long-term goals of community healing.

Irelia Ozaeta
Seed to Shelf Herbal Remedies Instructor
Irelia worked in education for 17 years as a teacher, administrator, and principal. Then she transitioned into entrepreneurship by creating Cosmic Rose Apothecary, a
natural skin care product line.
She grows her own herbs and flowers and transforms them into health and beauty
products.

AKA Dante Fried Chicken is a sustainable chef specializing in transatlantic African
cuisine. Dante uses food as a gathering place because he believes food transcends biases. In addition to his long history with farming, he studies wellness through food and
regenerative agriculture.

Kathleen Blakistone

Kathleen Blakistone is a professor of urban and community agriculture at Cal Poly Pomona, but her work extends far beyond the classroom. A dynamic educator, land steward, and advocate for food sovereignty, she has also taught at USC, LA Southwest
College, and Cal State Long Beach, always bringing her passion for regenerative agriculture and community empowerment into every space she enters. Kathleen’s work is rooted in a deep commitment to reshaping LA County’s regional food
system through education, urban agriculture, and public engagement.
